With the easing of restrictions we are offering some fun and informative activities for you, your family and friends.
Come and enjoy seeing our beautiful animals. Have your picture taken with a cheetah (socially distanced of
course). It’s a great way to spend some time outdoors. Maybe even do a hike around the vlei.
You do not need to make a booking to visit the facility. We charge an entry fee of R20 for adults and R10 for
children under 12. We have no credit card facilities but an ATM is available for use at the entrance to the facility.
We are open from 1000 to 1700.

animals during the pandemic.

The Experience
You will have the opportunity to be in close proximity to one of our cheetahs and you may have photos taken of you
with the cat. Social distancing will be required during the encounter and no touching of the cat will be permitted. The
Experience is available from 1000 to 1300 and 1400 to 1600.

Enrichment Tour
Our enrichment programme provides physically and mentally stimulating activities that fall into many categories,
including environmental, food, sensory, cognitive, toys, social interaction and behavioural conditioning.
This tour begins with an introduction to our cheetah conservation programme. After this your guide will take you to
watch various enrichment activities This is an excellent way to view our animals. These activities will vary depending
on the animal, day of week, time of day and weather. This tour only takes place at certain times and we cannot
guarantee the animals will respond as planned.
Enrichment Tours generally last about 1 hour.
This tour only occurs at 10:30 or 1430 each day depending on the day of the week. Pre-booking is required. .

Feeding Tour
The feeding tour offers the opportunity to watch our small animals being fed their afternoon meal. A guide provides
information about each animal. Often the meal is used as an enrichment activity that encourages natural behavior
such as jumping and climbing.
Feeding Tours generally last about 1 hour.
This tour only occurs at 15:30 each day and pre-booking is required.
R50 per person /R30 per child (under 14) exclusive of entry fee.

Private Group Experience NEW
A private meeting with an adult cheetah is available on request and must be booked well in advance. This exclusive
experience is tailored for groups of up to 20 people. you may have photos taken of you and your group with the cat.
Social distancing will be required during the encounter and no touching of the cat will be permitted. The Private
Group Experience is available from 1000 to 1300 and 1400 to 1600.

General Tour FREE
This tour is free with entry. This tour begins with an introduction to our cheetah conservation programme. After this
your guide will take you to view our animals which include cheetahs, caracal, servals, jackals, meerkats, bat-eared
foxes, and Anatolian shepherd dogs. Your guide will talk about each, its characteristics, behavior, place in the
ecosystem and conservation. There will be ample time for questions and discussion.
General Tours take place at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 14:30 and 15:30. Tours generally last about 1 hour.
COVID-19 Protocol
In accordance with government regulations, and in an effort to protect our guests and animal care personnel from
the COVID-19 virus, we are attempting to minimize social contact during all activities.
Guests should expect mandatory screening upon entry, including body temperature, and will be required to arrive
with their own face mask worn to cover the mouth and nose. Upon arrival to Cheetah Outreach you will be required
to sign a liability waiver.
Entry
Please adhere to social distancing (at 2.0m) and wear your mask correctly at all times. Should you not comply with
the stipulated requirements, Cheetah Outreach reserves the right to ask you to leave the facility.
You will be asked the following questions before confirming your booking:
1. Have you returned from traveling outside SA in the last 14 days?
2. Have you been in contact with someone traveling outside SA in the last 14 days?
3. Have you been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days? 4. Are you experiencing
any flu like symptoms? (dry cough, fever, difficulty breathing or sore throat, runny nose)?
